How do you know tusk from tooth
My center’s an aurora swelling
My eyes are rinds of eyes,
like children who’ve kicked a ball
too many times, you know,
or kittens jumping & falling off ledges
that aren’t ledges
I know we’re rivers held back for fear
light will crack our bottoms out,
O aurora I see centers everywhere
& crescents too, multiplying bubbles
within which every sense
fractures concave & convex
